Nathalie graduated with a Bsc in Nutritional Medicine from the University of West London and also has a Bsc (Hons) in Psychology. She has over 13 years of clinical experience working 1-1 with patients and in the wider community within schools, spas, and corporate settings.
Nathalie adopts a functional medicine approach in practice, drawing on evidence based research to drive clinical decisions for patients. The functional medicine approach to healthcare is to understand the patient’s story (time line) and the clinical imbalances at the root of their symptoms. Nathalie's strengths lie in understanding her patients, the complexities of their lives, and to help them find a way to make sustainable changes.
The Institute for Functional Medicine teaches health care professional’s how to apply the basic principles of functional medicine practice through an intensive 5 day training course called Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP). Nathalie attended and completed the AFMCP-UK training in London in 2017 and is currently working through the remaining Advanced Practice Modules (APM's), on her way to certification.
She has a passion for Nutrigenomics and attended GeneSnippers UK training in 2018. In 2019 she passed the competency assessment in clinical nutrigenomics and is today an experienced and competent Nutrigenetic counsellor (NgC). Nutrigenomics is a powerful way to understand how nutrients, food and lifestyle can influence our health.
Nathalie's experience is broad from children's nutrition, gut and immune imbalances, hormone health and metabolic health.
She has experience in developing menus and recipes; contributes to magazines and radio; and runs her own food blog - Nutritiously Natty. She enjoys recipe development and food photography.
"Nathalie has massively helped me with my diet and understanding what I need and why. My initial issues have greatly eased with her advice and supplement support. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and I feel fully supported.
Symptoms have eased some completely gone I’ve definitely noticed a huge difference in myself. I now have great understanding of my dietary needs and lifestyle changes. I was overwhelmed with the amount of contradictory information on the internet before meeting Nathalie" SG
